Learn how to craft in Pokémon Legends: Arceus so you can build Poké Balls on the fly!

The ability to craft in Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a welcome mechanic that’ll save you from having to purchase most of your Poké Balls and other items from shops. However, the game doesn’t explain crafting while in the wild all that well. This guide will offer a quick explainer on how to craft in Pokémon Legends Arceus no matter where you are.

There are two main ways to craft in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The first requires you visit a crafting station. One of these can be found at the workshop in Jubilife Village (look for the hammer symbol on the buildings north of the river), and you’ll also find a crafting station at any of your camps while out exploring regions. Interact with these and you can craft items using anything you’re holding and any items currently kept in storage.

The second way to craft in Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows you to make items on the fly while exploring. You’ll need to have played through enough of the very early story to receive a Crafting Kit. Once you have this, you can craft in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by opening your inventory by hitting up on the D-Pad. Swap to the satchel tab using Zl or Zr. In here, you’ll start on Everyday Items, but if you hit R, you’ll swap to the Key Items page.

The first Key Item you’ll unlock is a Crafting Kit. Select this and press A to open up the crafting menu. Here you’ll be able to make items using only what you’ve currently got in your Satchel. It’s a great way to quickly free up space or make more Poké Balls if running low. For anything else, you’ll need to travel to a base camp and use the proper crafting station there.

That’s everything to know about how to craft in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. We’ve got loads of other helpful guides to get you started, including the full controls, an explanation of how to change outfits, and a map of all the Jubilife Village wisp locations! Otherwise, visit our hub page for the game and get exploring before you head out into the Hisui Region.
