Far Cry 6 helicopter locations

Find and use helicopters in Far Cry 6 with our guide

Like its predecessors, Far Cry 6 has a huge open world for players to run around and explore. Because of that, there are also a ton of vehicles and fast travel methods for those playing as Dani to make good use of. Helicopters are one such vehicle, and there are two ways to use them: finding and activating helipads, and finding helicopters at bases you can pilot yourself. Use this guide to find them and get flying.

Far Cry 6 helicopter locations

Helicopters are one of the vehicles players can use to make travelling around the island of Yara. There are helipad pickup locations all over the island that players can use. To find them, and all the other vehicles and collectibles in Far Cry 6, check out this handy interactive map.

There are five models of helicopter players can find and fly around the island of Yara:

  • 1952 Kaumbat R-25
  • 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP
  • 1968 Garin Vorona C
  • 1968 Garin Vorona CT
  • Avispa Buzzer (Resolver)

Luckily, the 1952 Kaumbat R-25 is tied to a story mission, so you won't miss it. You can find the 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP helicopter at several helicopter bases, including the one pictures above. Check the light blue circle on the map above to find one. Find the 1968 Garin Vorona C at several helicopter bases; try looking in the areas near the yellow circles to start. The 1968 Garin Vorona CT is located in Esperanza, check the purple circle for a more precise location. To find the Avispa Buzzer (Resolver) helicopter, head to Costa Del Mar. The area with the pink circle is a good place to start. It's also important to note that helicopters with military hardware like rockets and machine guns are more likely to be found at the island's various military bases.  This video is also really helpful for hunting down helicopters if you need a more visual approach.
