Prime Games' open world MMORPG New World is gettig its first ever store update, just in time for the Halloween season. Starting on October 21, several new cosmetics will be in stock at New World's in-game store. Here's the scoop on everything you can expect with this festive update.
Armor skins
All of the new Halloween-themed armor skins in the New World update are full sets, which means the skins can be applied to headwear, chestwear, gloves, legwear, and footwear.
Boodthirsty Count
Description: "It's easier to hide any spills if you wear red, my friend." This vampire-inspired armor skin is very reminiscent of Bram Stoker's Dracula, and its name and quip about red confirm this skin is vampiric in nature.
Cost: 14,000 Marks of Fortune
Shroud of the Pharaoh
Description: "For a musty relic contained for thousands of years, it doesn't smell as bad as I thought." If you want to channel your inner Brenden Fraiser, this is the perfect skin for you. It's a classic mummy style, complete with bandages and golden jewelry.
Cost: 14,000 Marks of Fortune
Skeletal Chevalier
Description: "Sinister and sepulchral, armies of bone heed his summons." This gives classic fantasy skeleton king vibes, which seems to be exactly the point.
Cost: 16,000 Marks of Fortune
Weapon skins
Frankenstein Hammer - War Hammer Skin
Description: "The spark of life descends from the heavens." Give your war hammer new life with this Frankenstein's monster inspired skin.
Cost: 8,500 Marks of Fortune
Skeletal Rapier - Rapier Weapon Skin
Description: "A fearsome beast, now lost to time, donated the bones that form this insidious blade." Let your foes know you have a bone to pick with them by equipping your rapier with this skin.
Cost: 8,500 Marks of Fortune
Crimson Bloodlock - Musket Weapon Skin
Description: "A bite worse than its bark." The pun in the description is honestly the main schtick for this weapon skin. The musket itself doesn't look quite as cool as its counterparts when it comes to this skin.
Cost: 8,500 Marks of Fortune
Black Widow Staff - Life Staff Weapon Skin
Description: "Its kiss giveth life, its sting taketh it away." This creepy crawly staff will leave its mark.
Cost: 8,500 Marks of Fortune
Pharaoh's Curse - Great Axe Weapon Skin
Description: "Long lost beneath the desert sands, now free to wreak its havoc.“ Pair this with the Pharaoh's Shroud to really get that ancient curse look.
Cost: 8,500 Marks of Fortune
Masks - Headwear skins
Elemental Mask
Description: "Energy currents run through this piece of facial wear giving the wearer the appearance of being a little more magical than they really are." This mask is prettier than it is scary. Channel your inner forest spirit with this one.
Cost: 7,000 Marks of Fortune
Demon Mask
Description: "Even though it's made of wood this mask makes you think of rock..." Bear your fangs at enemies and friends with this mask.
Cost: 7,000 Marks of Fortune
Elusive One Mask
Description: "The mysterious stranger, hardly glimpsed yet never forgotten."
Cost: 7,000 Marks of Fortune
Plague Doctor Mask
Description: "When fear overtakes the land, his services find high demand." This mask is maybe a little too topical, but festive nonetheless.
