How to get Boom Boom in Far Cry 6

Find a familiar looking puppy pal in Far Cry 6 with our guide

Like its predecessors, in Ubisoft's latest entry in the Far Cry series, Far Cry 6, there are plenty of NPC companions you can find to accompany you along the path to Yara's revolution. From people to animals, you have many options to choose from to fill your squad. But one of the available additions is probably an easter egg from the previous game. Far Cry 6 heavily implies that Boom Boom is Boomer, the dog you could take with you in Far Cry 5. If you'd like to reunite with your old pal, we'll help you find him.

Amigos are Far Cry 6's in-game NPC companions, and Boom Boom is one of them. To access him, you'll need to focus on main story missions, at least up until you have completed an operation in Valle de Oro called "Meet Maximas Matanza." Doing so will unlock the Camp Maximas area. Explore the camp to find a note on a pillar that kicks off the "Boom or Bust" Yaran story. Reading the note will direct you to Boom Boom's location right away.

But, if you're out exploring and happen to already know where to find him, you can grab the pooch without having to mainline the story content. Boom Boom can be found in the southwestern town Feroza, which is in the northern part of Balaceras. Follow the train tracks you find here to the train depot. Here, there's a blue storage container that's locked with a padlock. Shoot the lock to get rid of it, and open the container doors to reveal Boom Boom. Check out the notes around the inside of the container for more hints that this little guy is Far Cry 5's Boomer.

That's all there is to finding Boom Boom in Far Cry 6. For more Far Cry 6 features and guides, check out our game hub.
