Gathering and trading

An easy-ish way to get gold in the earlier parts of New World is to gather and sell the raw materials and resources people need for crafting items, or items that are useful in combat like potions and ammo. If you're willing to put in the work to collect these resources, you can cash in on the folks who aren't.

As you get further, you can focus on leveling up your Trading skill to increase the amount of money you get for selling items.

Early game items to sell

  • Light Rations
  • Travel Rations
  • Weak Health Potion
  • Fiber
  • Stone
  • Wood
  • Ores (Flint in especially in high demand)
  • Fish Oil

Later game items to sell

  • Strong Health Potion
  • Powerful Health Potion
  • Infused Health Potion
  • Bags
  • Arrows
  • Bullets
  • Rings
  • Earrings
  • Amulets

It's also important to remember to sell your old weapons, armor, and other gear when you upgrade to new stuff. This is an easy bit of money you can snag as you progress.

Quests

Completing main story and side quests is going to be the most straightforward way to earn gold in New World. These quests will award you gold, along with experience, equipment, and Azoth. Additionally, you can complete Town Project missions repeatedly, as they never run out. Faction missions, which you can get from Faction vendors in the Settlements around the map, also provide a small amount of gold.

Those are our best strategies for making money in New World for the time being. For more New World features and guides, check out our game hub.
