Wolverine by Insomniac Games announced for PS5

Shnikt, that's the sound of the big man in a barfight.

Not content with just working on Spider-Man 2, Insomniac Games also have a Wolverine game on the go for PS5.

The game was announced today during the PlayStation Showcase, with a simple teaser trailer of our good pal Logan "Metal Claws" Nolastname getting into a scrap in a dive bar.

It's a good teaser, really sets the tone for our drunken anti-hero to get up to some slightly more heroic hijinx in the future.

As Insomniac are also hard at work on Spider-Man 2 (featuring Venom and both spideys) which is set for 2023, there's no release date down for Wolverine yet, so expect it sometime after that.

The team within Insomniac responsible for this superhero adaptation is being led up by Brian Horton on creative and Cameron Christian as game director. The PlayStation Blog says the team is very early in development at this point, so please contain your excitement for the next two-to-three years.

Are you excited to play Wolverine on the PS5 at some point in the distant future? What else did you enjoy at the PlayStation Showcase today?
