Miles and Peter team up to fight Venom in Spider-Man 2

Insomniac are putting TWO Spider-Men in their official sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man on PS5 in 2023.

Spider-Man 2, the full-fat sequel to Marvel's Spider-Man, will see Peter and Miles team up against Venom when the game releases on PS5 in 2023.

The announcement trailer shown at PlayStation's Showcase today saw the two Spider-Men fighting various villains while a voice from the shadow confirmed the new big bad to be the symbiote-in-chief, Venom (voiced by Candyman's Tony Todd).

Insomniac Games will be handling the sequel, with much of the original team returning including creative director Bryan Intihar and game director Ryan Smith.

With another two years before the sequel arrives, Insomniac will also be working on another Marvel superhero property in the just-announced Wolverine game, also revealed at today's Showcase.

Are you excited to check out Spider-Man 2 in 2023 when it arrives on PS5?

"Much of the development team that brought you Marvel’s Spider-Man is returning to produce Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, including Bryan Intihar (creative director) and Ryan Smith (game director). Today’s game footage trailer is merely just a glimpse at what’s in store in terms of the new abilities our heroes will acquire, suits they will wear (more on that some other time), and the villains that will try to hunt them down. And speaking of villains, did you catch that final line at the end of the trailer? We’re so happy to announce that Tony Todd (of Candyman fame) will be voicing the symbiote-fueled Venom in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. We’re also delighted to welcome back Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter, who will reprise their roles as Peter and Miles respectively. We’ve been fortunate to work with so many incredibly talented actors in our Spider-Man games, and Tony has been such a wonderful addition to the cast.
