Learn how to complete the Jungle Buddies Request in New Pokemon Snap - all it takes is a well-timed melody and a single fluffruit.

Sometimes New Pokemon Snap isn’t exactly fair, so don’t blame yourself if you haven’t completed the Jungle Buddies request just yet. This task requires a very specific set of actions to be completed, and without knowing the steps, would largely come down to luck. Below, we’ll explain how to complete the Jungle Buddies request in New Pokemon Snap.

Jungle Buddies request - New Pokemon Snap guide

New Pokemon Snap’s Jungle Buddies request takes place on the Founja Jungle (Day) course at Research Level 2 or above. To complete the Jungle Buddies request, you need to photograph a Wooper and Bounsweet playing together, which can be achieved in the opening stages of the course. You will need to have unlocked the Melody function on the NEO-ONE to complete this request.

To start Jungle Buddies, you need to play the Melody at a very specific point in the opening of the Founja Jungle (Day) course. What you need to look for is the large hill on the left side of the course as shown above. It should be next to a Slaking lying down.

Start playing the melody as soon as you begin to approach this hill and watch the crest of it.Keep playing the melody and you should see a Bounsweet fly over the hill and begin to follow you, as shown below.

Once the Bounsweet is following you, look ahead on the course until you see an Arbok hissing at the jungle. It’s scaring a Wooper hiding in the bushes. As you approach, hit the Arbok with a fluffruit to scare it away. At this point, Wooper will come out from hiding, stand on a rock and look around. If the Bounsweet is following you he should break into a smile and the two will begin to dance together. Take photos of both the Wooper and the Bounsweet here for a 4-Star encounter.

Once you have your photos, remember to submit them at the end of the run even if they aren’t going to outscore your current Photodex shots. You don’t need to save them to complete the request. Finally, head back to the Research Camp and complete the Jungle Buddies request in New Pokemon Snap from the All Requests menu.
