Resident Evil Village demo Castle treasure locations

Grab as much Lei as possible to spend with the Duke in the Castle section of the Resident Evil Village demo.

The Duke has wares, if you have the coin. The Resident Evil Village demo’s Castle segment offers the chance to put your treasures to use by buying upgrades and even new weapons. To afford them, however, you’ll need to collect treasures hidden around the castle. Below, we’ll highlight all the castle treasure locations in the Resident Evil Village demo so that you can unload some extra firepower on foes during your thirtyish in-game minutes.

Crimson Glass: The first treasure you can obtain is directly in front of you when the demo starts. While admiring the room, be sure to collect the Crimson Glass from the desk with the books on it. It’s worth quite a bit of cash, making it valuable indeed.

Crystal Fragment:After you collect the Maroon Eye Ring and squeeze through the rotating doorway, turn left. To the left of the large double doors is a glass cabinet. Crouch down and use your knife to smash the glass and grab the Crystal Fragment.

500 Lei:After you enter the main hall with the four winged statues, head across to the lower passage next to the Duke’s room. Follow this through until you pass up some stairs and enter a larger room with some stairs down to a door barred by a wooden gate on your right, and a painting of three sisters on your left. Head straight through to the room with a disused Elevator in it. You’ll find a bag of 500 Lei sitting on the table here.

200 Lei: Return to the main hall with the statues in and head upstairs to the chandelier room. Head up the large stairs on your left and turn left at the top. You’ll find a small vase on a table just around the corner. Smash it for 200 Lei. A nice easy treasure location.

380 Lei: Follow the upper balcony the other direction (right from the top of the stairs) all the way round. A large vase at the end can be smashed for 380 Lei.

You now have all the money and treasures we know of that you can spend at the Duke’s shop in the demo. You’ll start with 5,000 Lei, but the extra cash certainly won’t hurt. Sprint back down and purchase the shotgun + ammo or crafting recipes for more interesting items like the mine.

Crystal Skulls, Lei, and Ingrid’s Necklace: All the remaining treasures in the Resident Evil Village Castle demo or obtained by killing ghouls in the dungeon. Several can drop valuable Crystal Skulls, and one in particular will drop Ingrid’s Necklace (the item owned by the player character in the PS5-only Maiden demo). While these are worth money, you sadly can’t return to the Duke’s shop to spend them at this point.

Those were all the Castle treasure locations for the Resident Evil Village demo. Spotted any that we’ve missed? Let us know in the comments section below! Read our demo times and schedule guide to make sure you don't miss your chance to play the Resident Evil Village demo.
