Toy supplier Build-A-Bear is teaming up with Animal Crossing to sate your cuddle cravings.
Forget deciding on villagers you want to invite to your island, what you should be asking yourself is which ones you want in your house. Newly announced yesterday, the partnership will see unique Animal Crossing: New Horizons options available in both the United States and United Kingdom stores.
Build-A-Bear is famous for offering customers the chance to customize the stuffed toys they buy. Along with different colours and designs, each bear can have its clothing and hat adjusted, as well as the option for a squeeze-activated voice line.

We don’t yet know which villagers or famous Animal Crossing faces will be available as part of the collection, but you can sign up for early information on the Build-A-Bear website. With more than 400 villagers to pick from, there’s hot competition for customizable spaces. While we’d love to see different villager styles make it in, it seems much more likely that recognizable faces like Tom Nook and Isabelle will be included.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been on a roll for collabs recently, having partnered with clothing brand BlackMilk as well as Colourpop Make-up. Build-A-Bear is certainly one of the most apposite partnerships we’ve seen for the game and we can’t wait to see what comes of it. So long as we can have those tropical pineapple shirts as a clothing option, we'll be satisfied.
