Diona's birthday message includes a strange request and an unusual item for Genshin Impact players

If you’ve checked your mail recently in Genshin Impact, you’ll have found a letter from Diona for her birthday. Titled Help Me Meow, it delivers a few gifts to the player and asks you to come and find her. To that end, a lot of players are currently searching high and wide for where to find Diona in Genshin Impact, but it appears that she’s nowhere to be found. Here’s what we know so far about Genshin Impact’s Help Me Meow mail from Diona.

Diona’s birthday in Genshin Impact takes place on January 18, and as with most other playable characters in the game, she’ll send you a message and a few gifts when it rolls around. However, this small feline companion delivered an unusual bit of mail yesterday titled Help Me Meow. The letter was delivered to all players, not those lucky enough to have drawn her in their wishes. It notes that Diona is attempting to create a repulsive cocktail that will drive away customers from the wine industry. Unfortunately, she’s not doing a grand job of it and has accidentally discovered that Loach Pearls make an excellent addition to any drink.

The letter -- shared here by Reddit user FIGJAM17 -- concludes with Diona asking the player to come find her and take her home. This lead many players to start hunting for Diona's location, all to no avail. While players are still looking, so far as we know Diona can’t currently be found at any specific place on the map. That means you don’t need to worry about looking for her diminutive figure anywhere in Liyue, Mondstadt or Dragonspine.

What’s most intriguing about the letter however, are the gifts. Along with a rather meager food item called Definitely Not Bar Food!, Diona’s mail includes 10 Loach Pearls. This item currently doesn’t serve any purpose in Genshin Impact, so there’s a good chance that an update in the near future will make them useful. They could be a new Ascension item for another character, but we can't confirm anything yet. If you’re looking to collect more Loach Pearls just in case, you can get them by catching Golden Loaches from near Stone Gate in Liyue.

We’ll update you as soon as we find out any more details about Diona’s Help Me Meow mail, the use of Loach Pearls, or if Diona's location is added in Genshin Impact.
