Animal Crossing make-up delivers cute villager-inspired looks next week

ColourPop X Animal Crossing brings four cute palettes to cosmetic collectors on January 28.

Cosmetic queens ColourPop have teamed up with Nintendo to offer a limited collection of Animal Crossing-inspired powder palettes dropping next week.

The Animal Crossing x ColourPop collab will launch Thursday January 28 at 10am PST, and you can sign up for a reminder of when to fill your basket.

There will be four palettes inspired by some of Animal Crossing's most-loved recurring characters, with base shades and glittered highlight powders for you to mix and match in your own looks. You can see the names of each palette set and their four individual powders below, with a quick description of their color schemes:

  • Labelle of the Ball (Able Sisters, Tailors Ticket, Custom Design, Serene Sable) – a purple-hued palette for smoky eyes and spiky looks, courtesy of the fashionable hedgehog trio in Animal Crossing.
  • What a Hoot (Meteor Shower, Celestial, All Aflutter, WHO!) – natural brown and glittered skin tones from Celeste and Blathers.
  • Nook, Inc (Yes...Yes!, Made in the Shade, CEO, Water Landing) – the corporate pantone has been raided for these aquatic blue shades, reminiscent of Timmy and Tommy's leaf-print holiday shirts.
  • 5 Star Island (Isabelle, Island Tune, Island Designer, Resident Rep.) – Isabelle's yellow and pink/coral colorscheme is the star of this powder set.

ColourPop have a number of other collab collections based on popular culture, including a Mandalorian-inspired set for The Child within, and a very well fleshed-out Sailor Moon collection to awaken your inner Usagi.

Are you excited to accessorize with Animal Crossing when the ColourPop cosmetic collab drops on January 28? Or are you more interested in some of the best Animal Crossing clothing collabs out there?
