Elemental Sight in Genshin Impact is the ability to highlight and see multiple different aspects of the environment like resources and items that can be interacted with. To use this ability, hold the middle mouse button or the eye icon in the top left corner of the screen. Depending on the color the item in question is highlighted, you will learn different information. Here's what each color means:

Grey

Objects/characters that are highlighted grey can be interacted with, like chests, domains, teleporters, NPCs, and timed challenges. Using Elemental Sight can help you find chests and other items you might have missed otherwise, and it will narrow down who all you can speak to in an area.

Orange

Items highlighted orange can be mined or destroyed, including Hilichurl's Shields and minerals.

Green

Objects highlighted green need to be destroyed in some way, i.e. lit on fire, smashed, etc. like torches and cooking fires.

Blue

Your character will turn blue when they are wet or in contact with water.

Purple

Your character will turn purple when they are being electrified or are in contact with electricity.

Red

Your character will turn red when they are on fire or are in contact with Pyro.

Light blue

Your character will turn red when they are frozen or in contact with Cryo.

Additionally, you can use Elemental Sight to see the names of enemies, how they're reacting to the environment, and what elements they are using.
