By following the setup below, your M16 loadout will be effective over almost all ranges, with stable recoil and high damage at a distance. So long as you land all three shots in a burst, your foes should drop in an instant. Here’s the best M16 loadout in COD: Black Ops Cold War:

  • Optics: Millstop Reflex
  • Muzzle: None
  • Barrel: 15.9” Strike Team
  • Body: None
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
  • Magazine: 45 Rnd Speed Mag
  • Handle: None
  • Stock: Raider Pad

In terms of options here, you can feel free to swap out the Optics for a different option of your choice. The 15.9” Barrel will boost the damage and fire rate of the M16, making sure you rapidly down enemies in a single, compact burst. Thankfully, the recoil control is countered by the Field Agent Foregrip, at the cost of shooting speed. Don’t fire this one from the hip, folks.

You can choose to swap out the Magazine if you prefer faster ADS, but the extra ammo will help you chain together kills. Finally, the Raider Pad allows you to shoot more quickly after sprinting and move more quickly while ADSing, to ensure you can stay on target. Feel free to trade for the SAS Combat Stock if you play less aggressively. We recommend pairing the M16 with a close range weapon, and using the Stimshot as your tactical to allow healing and quick movement.

That’s everything you need to know about the best M16 loadout in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold war. We’re aiming to have more guides up for the game soon, so check back on the hub page to see them when they arrive.
