You can visit Joe Biden’s island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons via Dream Code.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has provided a relaxing chance to escape from a pretty turbulent year for many of us. In terms of sales it was a gargantuan release, but even in one of the strangest years we never expected it to prove popular enough for attention from presidential campaigns. And yet, here we are, with presidential nominee Joe Biden revealing his own campaign within Nintendo’s title. Tom Nook must be extremely confused.

Officially unveiled by Greg Miller on the Kinda Funny Games Daily Twitch stream last Friday, the island is actually pretty impressive. Not just a hub for campaign slogans and banners – though that’s clearly a core purpose – the land is packed with nods and references towards the interests and characteristics of the man himself. Ice cream stalls, trains, and a plethora of sunglasses are just the tip of the iceberg.
Running a presidential campaign is no easy feat, so it’s worth remembering that this wasn’t created by Biden himself, but his campaign team. Either way, it’s clear that someone with serious skills in Animal Crossing: New Horizons was brought in to craft it. Joined by Gary Whitta – creator of the popular Animal Talking chat show – to tour around the island, we get a look at a field of flowers in the shape of the United States flag, a train station, and a field office created within his in-game house. The building even contains a split office, with half of the room designed around Biden, and the other half for running mate Kamala Harris. Head to the back of the island and Blathers’ museum has been cleverly positioned to appear as the White House.
The island is also packed with dog villager types to represent Biden’s love of the animals, though you’ll also find Raymond wandering the streets as well. Yep, Biden even has the eternally popular Raymond – some islands have all the luck!
Of course there’s also a Biden villager who’ll give a stern reminder of “No malarkey!” when spoken to. Stop by the design portal and you can even grab all the official campaign clothing options, recreated within the game.
