Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be available on PS5 at launch

Get ready for Dante, Nero, and friends on the PS5 later this year.

The PS5 Showcase primarily focused on some of the newer titles that will be available on the PS5 either at launch, or in 2021. One of the outliers was a trailer for Devil May Cry 5 which released back in March of 2019.

If you were holding your breath for a Special Edition, we have good news… it’s coming and will be available on the PS5 at launch!

If you haven’t played DMC 5 yet, it looks like one that’s worth scooping up for PS5 thanks to a sleek new trailer that aired today, September 16. When the PS5 launches on November 12, you’ll be able to play Devil May Cry 5 on it.

Not just that... you can play the Special Edition version of DMC 5 on the PlayStation 5 at launch.

Looking closer at the trailer, we see Vergil pop in, and the description for the Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition trailer confirms that yes, you'll be able to play as Vergil.

"New features include the addition of Dante's brother and arch-rival, Vergil, as a playable character, as well as Turbo Mode, Legendary Dark Knight, Ray Tracing, and more!"

The news that Vergil will be a playable character is extremely exciting, even for gamers who already played DMC 5 back in 2019. It seems well worth it to dive into the Special Edition once it's released on November 12 on PS5.

Until then, are you stoked there’s a Special Edition for Devil May Cry 5? Are you planning to play it when it comes out later this year? Comment below!
