Where you need to go and what you need to do in order to drain the fountain in the Philadelphia level of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.

As gamers work their way through Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 there are bound to be questions like how to drain the fountain in the game’s Philadelphia level. Rather than skate around the fountain itself, you’ll have to find a set of valves hidden in a different area.

To help make things easier, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining how to drain the fountain in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.

The first thing you need to know when asking how to drain the fountain in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is that you won’t need to interact with the fountain itself in order to drain it. Instead, you’ll need to seek out a set of three valves located atop a roof area in the Philadelphia level.

Technically, this area is called The Balcony and you can earn points for “Chillin’ On The Balcony” when you’re up there. The Balcony of the valves required to drain the fountain can be reached a few different ways.

First, you can get up to the roof using the cable you grind up to collect the Secret Tape. The cable stretches over the fountain and up towards a set of buildings. If you keep grinding up that rail, you’ll eventually be able to jump off onto The Balcony where the set of three valves are located.

Once you’re up there, skate through the valves to drain the fountain. Note that you can also reach this Balcony area by proceeding straight from the map’s starting point and approaching the building from the front.

If you have enough speed and Ollie prowess, you can use the small ramp at the front of the building to reach The Balcony area where the valves are located. In our opinion, this method is a little bit harder than grinding up the wire where the Secret Tape is collected.

However, some players prefer the “Ollie up to The Balcony using the front ramp” method rather than the wire grind method and that’s perfectly ok. The most important thing is that you reach the roof area with the three valves and skate through them in order to drain the fountain.

If a visual guide is a little easier to follow, we’ve included a video from YouTuber GuidingLight that’ll show you how to reach The Balcony using the wire grind method and what it looks like to interact with the valves in order to drain the fountain in the Philadelphia level of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2.
