A common question that Marvel’s Avengers players have is how to save. Specifically, whether the game is auto-save only, or if there’s a manual save option available as well. To address this question first, there is no manual save option in Marvel’s Avengers. The only way to keep track of your progress is through the game’s internal auto-save.

As with most modern auto-saves, it’ll save pretty regularly so you won’t have to worry about losing too much progress in the event your system crashes or there’s a power outage, etc. If you want to make doubly sure your progress has saved, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the auto-save icon.

Once you see that icon pop up, you’ll know the game has saved up until that point and it’s safe to exit the game. You can also do things to trigger the auto-save like finish a story mission, complete an assignment, and so on and so forth.

Again, it’s pretty easy to trigger the auto-save in Marvel’s Avengers so even though there’s no way to manually save through the game’s menus, your progress should be stored safely after most in-game activities.
