Xbox One's Mixer streaming service gets tipping support

One for you, one for MSFT.

Players using Microsoft’s Mixer platform to stream from their Xbox One can now be tipped by viewers with a Twitch-style donation system.

Direct Tipping is being implemented on the service so channel owners can be tipped by their audience, as well as Direct Purchase options so viewers can buy a digital download of the game they’re watching.

Purchasing through Mixer will only be available for Microsoft’s Store on launch, and it is unclear if broadcasters will receive commission on sales made through their streams.

Microsoft claim that more than 10 million users now watch Mixer every month, spurred on in part by it being the default streaming service on Xbox One and present on the dashboard on startup.
