It’s everyone’s favorite time of the week in Destiny 2, Xur Day! For those unfamiliar with who Xur is or what he does in Destiny 2, Xur is an Exotic goods vendor who appears every week at a random location.
Some of the Exotic items you can buy from him include armor for your Titan, Hunter, or Warlock, and an Exotic weapon. Before you can add new Exotics to your inventory, you’ll need to overcome a few obstacles.
Namely, finding Xur’s updated location. Because Xur spawns at a random location every week, it can be a pain to cycle between potential spawn areas in order to find him.
To simplify things, we’ve put together a guide explaining where you can find Xur in Destiny 2, and all of the Exotic items he has available for purchase in Destiny 2 during the week of July 24, 2020!
Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - July 24, 2020

In Destiny 2, Xur appears at a random location every week starting on Friday and serves as the game’s friendly neighborhood Exotic goods vendor. Before you can purchase items from Xur, you’ll first need to find him.
Running through all of the locations where Xur is known to spawn is one way to find him, but doing this can be quite time-consuming, especially if you’re new to Destiny 2.
To save time, you can also look up Xur’s location online in guides like this one! Note that if you search for Xur before his spawn time of 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST), you may miss Xur even if you’re at the correct location.
We recommend waiting until the aforementioned time before you head out to meet with Xur. Once Xur appears in Destiny 2, he’ll stay in the same spot for a few days selling a random Exotic weapon along with Exotic armor pieces.
If you want to buy something from Xur, you have until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) to do so. After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday to buy Exotic items from Xur again.
During the week of July 24, Xur can be found on Titan inside The Rig area. To reach Xur, you’ll first need to spawn in on Titan, then head over towards the Landing Zone.
Towards the edge of the platform, look for a square building. Inside, you’ll find Xur hanging around towards the back by a wall.

During the week of July 24 through July 28, you can visit Xur at the location outlined above. In speaking with Xur, you’ll be able to browse through his updated Exotic inventory.
If you see something you like, you can purchase one or more of these items using Legendary Shards. If you don’t see anything worth buying, keep in mind that Xur’s inventory refreshes every week.
You can always save your Legendary Shards and visit Xur the following week to see if he has something better! In addition to Exotic armor for Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters, you can purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week along with a Fated Engram.

- Sunshot (Exotic Hand Cannon) - 29 Legendary Shards

- Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock Helmet) - 23 Legendary Shards
- Exotic Engram - 97 Legendary Shards
During the week of July 24 through July 28 in Destiny 2, you can purchase a Sunshot Exotic Hand Cannon from Xur for a total of 29 Legendary Shards. When it comes to hand cannons, the Sunshot isn’t exactly the best of the bunch, though it’s certainly not trash either.
With Sunburn, the Sunshot can fire explosive rounds, and with Sun Blast enemies you kill explode into Solar energy. If you don’t currently own a Sunshot and you’ve been really gunning for one, pun intended, buying one from Xur isn’t a terrible option.
However, we personally feel there are better Exotic weapons and items to spend your Legendary Shards on. Looking at the armor on offer, the Liar’s Handshake is an exciting piece to see in Xur’s inventory as it’s not an item we see all that frequently.
Note that if you don’t find anything in Xur’s inventory that catches your eye this week, you can save your Legendary Shards and visit Xur the following week to see if he has something better.
