How to observe leaders in Ghost of Tsushima

There are many ways to hone your skills as a Samurai, but one of the key methods to earn points towards new combat stances is to observe leaders in Ghost of Tsushima. Getting a glimpse of the enemy sounds simple, but can prove surprisingly tricky. How to observe leaders in Ghost of Tsushima

To observer leaders in Ghost of Tsushima, you must remain undetected within a Mongol-controlled area (such as a camp), and get a close view of the camp boss. While this will be a challenge at first, outfits like the Ronin Gear and Ghost Armor will make this easier down the line. 

Leaders are always located within Mongol camp, and can be identified by their gold or silver armor. They’re usually well equipped, holding a sword and shield, or sometimes even two swords, and can typically be found practicing their moves, making quite a bit of noise. The best way to observer leaders is to find a vantage point from above. Climb onto any roof you find within the camp, and make your way through the camp from above. Once close enough to the leader, you’ll see a circle above them and be prompted to hold R2 to begin observing. It takes time, so make sure you’re not in the patrol path of any enemies. If you're not getting the prompt, then you need to get closer and look at the leader.

Making your way through Mongol encampments to find the leader can be a challenging task, so take your time and be sure to watch your enemies patrol paths carefully. Ghost of Tsushima is pretty forgiving with its stealth, so with a bit of practice you should be able to observe enemy leaders consistently.
