Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - July 3, 2020

The latest location of our favorite Exotic goods vendor, Xur!

It’s Xur Day in Destiny 2 and the first one in July! Not sure what we’re talking about? Every week, Xur appears at a random location selling an updated inventory of Exotic items. Because Xur spawns in every Friday, we like to call it Xur Day. Fun, right?

There are a few challenges to Xur Day in that Xur spawns at a random location, making it a challenge to figure out where he might spawn. Fortunately, searching for the location online can help save valuable time.

As for why Destiny 2 players visit Xur every week, it’s because they’re able to buy new Exotic items from Xur’s inventory which also refreshes every week.

To make everything easier, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining where you can find Xur in Destiny 2 and all of the Exotic items he has up for sale during the week of July 3, 2020.

On Friday each week, Xur appears at a random location in Destiny 2 and acts as the game’s Exotic goods vendor. Before you can purchase items from Xur, you’ll first need to locate him by running through all of the locations where Xur is known to spawn. Doing this can be extremely tedious and time-consuming though, especially if you’re new to Destiny 2.

To save time, you can look up Xur’s location online in guides like this one! Note that if you search for Xur before his spawn time of 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST), you may miss Xur even if you’re at the correct location. We recommend waiting until the aforementioned time before you head out to meet with Xur.

Once Xur appears in Destiny 2, he’ll stay in the same spot for a few days selling a random Exotic weapon along with Exotic armor pieces. If you want to buy something from Xur, you have until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) to do so. After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday to buy Exotic items from Xur again.

During the week of July 3, Xur can be found in the Hangar area of the Tower. To get to Xur, you’ll need to make your way to the Tower, then head back into the Hangar area. In the Hangar, keep going past the Dead Orbit vendor and up a nearby flight of stairs that are to the back, and then off to the left. On these stairs, you’ll be able to spot Xur.

If it’s easier for you to follow visual directions than written directions, you can scroll down to the bottom of this article to find a video that’ll show you exactly where you need to go!

During the week of July 3 through July 7, you can visit Xur at the location outlined above. In speaking with Xur, you’ll be able to browse through his updated inventory of Exotic items. If you see something you like, you can purchase one or more of these items using Legendary Shards.

If you don’t see anything worth buying this week, keep in mind that Xur’s inventory refreshes every week. You can always save your Legendary Shards and visit Xur the following week to see if he has something better. In addition to Exotic armor for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks, you’re able to purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week along with a Fated Engram.

Wondering what Xur is selling this week and whether you should pay him a visit? Below, we’ve put together a list of all Exotics sold by Xur from July 3 through July 7 in Destiny 2!

  • The Huckleberry (Exotic Submachine Gun) - 29 Legendary Shards
  • Lucky Pants (Exotic Hunter Leg Armor) - 23 Legendary Shards
  • Mask of the Quiet One (Exotic Titan Helmet) - 23 Legendary Shards
  • Lunafaction Boots (Exotic Warlock Leg Armor) - 23 Legendary Shards
  • Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards

During the week of July 3 through July 7 in Destiny 2, Xur can be found selling The Huckleberry Exotic Submachine Gun. In Destiny 2, The Huckleberry is one of the best submachine guns available. If you don’t already own one and really want one, spending 29 Legendary Shards to buy one from Xur isn’t a bad idea.

The Huckleberry comes paired with 2 particularly fun (and nasty) tricks. First, it has the Intrinsic Perk called Ride the Bull. With this, The Huckleberry has an increased rate of fire and recoil while holding down the trigger. That said, kills with The Huckleberry also reload some of the magazine.

Additionally, The Huckleberry on offer from Xur this week also boasts a Trait called Rampage. With this Trait, kills you earn with The Huckleberry temporarily grant increased damage with stacks up to 3x. As you can probably tell, this is a very, very deadly weapon in Destiny 2 in the right hands. It’s also a lot of fun when you get going on a spree stacking kills, increasing damage, etc.

For Destiny 2 veterans, many already own one of these bad boys so seeing it in Xur’s inventory isn’t all that exciting. Looking over the Exotic armor that Xur has on offer, we don’t see anything that’s particularly worthwhile. All of the armor is fairly average when compared to what Xur has sold in previous weeks.

If you want to skip buying items from Xur this week, we totally understand. You can save your Legendary Shards and check back in with him next week to see if you find something better. After browsing Xur’s inventory, what are your thoughts? Are you planning to scoop up The Huckleberry? Let us know!
