Gucci X Fnatic collab on a $1500 dive watch, limited to 100 pieces

Today's Gucci X Fnatic collab drop might be a bit pricey for the average esports fan.

Earlier this week Fnatic teased a collaboration with Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci, to be revealed today. Well it turns out the limited time drop is a dive watch, that comes with a weighty price tag.

You'll need to plunge your hands pretty deep into your pockets to afford the Gucci Dive watch with Fnatic's logo on the face and team colors on the rotating bezel. Deeper than the 200m water resistance rating too, we reckon. It's going for $1,502 (or £1,150) on Gucci's web store.

If you've won your fair share of money matches and really want to rep that Fnatic orange, then you'll need to act fast. Pre-orders are up now but the drop is limited to only 100 pieces. If you have $1,500 lying around and you're still on the fence, here's the product description that might push you over:

"This contemporary, diver’s-inspired watch combines a 40mm stainless steel case with a black and orange bezel, black and orange multi-icon indices, and a black rubber strap embossed with the Gucci logo. Super LumiNova accents on the hands and indices light up the black dial, which also displays the GG logo, a signature House motif. ‘GG’ also stands for ‘good game’ in gaming. The caseback is engraved with ‘FNATIC’ and the limited-edition number of the piece. Water resistant to 200 metres, this unique Swiss Made timepiece embodies contemporary style and brings personality and character to any outfit."

The watch is modelled on the site by the Fnatic LoL team, consisting of Rekkles, Hylissang, Nemesis, Bwipo and Selfmade, one of whom we mistakenly identified as a "broody model" in our earlier reporting. We are happy to correct our reporting: the teaser actually featured "an esports professional who could moonlight as a broody model".

Will you be copping the Gucci X Fnatic Dive Watch drop? Or will you perhaps be saving that $1,500 for a new gaming rig, or a next-gen console?
