Second annual Summer of Pride brings sales to Steam, Nintendo, more

Summer of Pride features a month-long celebration of LGBTQ+ streamers and sales on your favorite games.

The second annual Summer of Pride celebration returns this June for LGBTQ+ Pride, hosting a month-long marathon of streamers and sales on you favorite gaming platforms.

The Summer of Pride event is organized by MidBoss, a California game publisher that runs the GaymerX convention and released 2064: Read Only Memories in 2015.

As part of the event, LGBTQ+ streamers are playing their favorite queer games throughout the entire month, including personalities such as BiqtchPuddin, winner of Netflix's The Boulet Brothers' DRAGULA show. You can find a full schedule of when to catch each streamer on the Summer of Pride site.

On top of that, gaming platforms are also holding sales of indie games associated with the LGBTQ+ community, such as the Kitty Powers series and Gone Home, or those of the event's sponsors including Annapurna Interactive, publishers of Outer Wilds and Sayonara Wild Hearts. The Summer of Pride Steam sale is on right now, and a number of these games will also be on discounts up to 80% off as part of the Nintendo eShop Sale, beginning on June 20 and running until the end of the month.

Streamers taking part in the Summer of Pride marathon event are raising funds for LGBTQ+ charities including Trevor Project, Trans Lifeline, and the running costs of the GaymerX convention.

To help contribute to the LGBTQ+ gaming community, check out more of what the Summer of Pride event is doing, and tune into any of the personalities giving their time to entertain as part of the streaming marathon.
