Xbox Games Pass to get instant access to exclusives

A huge upgrade.

Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass is getting a huge upgrade which will see Microsoft Studios titles launching at the same time on the online platform.

The Game Pass system costs $9.99 per month and allows users to download games from an online catalogue of over 100 titles. Previously, these were typically old titles, meaning pass owners would need to wait for some time if they wanted access to the most recent releases. The program is now expanding to include all new Xbox One exclusives, which should become available online at the same time as they appear in shops.

Sea of Thieves, Rare’s multiplayer pirate adventure is a clear point of interest here, but State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 are two more upcoming games that will be available, along with future releases in the company’s core series like Gears of War.

This is fantastic news for Pass holders, and could even allow those on the fence to try out the service while gaining access to brand new releases using the 14-day free trial on offer.
