If you never got around to playing Overcooked, you can check out the game by picking up a free copy on the Epic Games Store. Overcooked joins the list of games Epic has given away for free on its store with Borderlands: The Handsome Collection offered for free last week, with Overcooked offering some fun couch co-op gameplay to spice things up.

The Epic Games Store gives away several free games each month. Last month, Epic created quite a stir when they gave away games like GTA V and Civilization 6. They ended the month of May on a solid note with a free copy of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.
Because Epic offered so many AAA games during the month of May rather than the indies they normally offer, gamers have been patiently waiting to see what Epic will give away for free in June. The answer is a mix between bad news and good news.
The bad news is that Epic isn’t giving away a game like GTA V this week, but the good news is that the game they’re giving away is pretty fantastic. At least, we think so! From June 4 until June 11, you can grab a free copy of Overcooked on the Epic Games Store.
Value wise, the game normally sells for $16.99 but you can often pick it up at a discount during seasonal sales. A sale price isn’t as good as being able to get the game for free though, and once you add the game to your library it’s yours to keep forever.

If you’ve never played Overcooked, the game is an absolute blast. It can also keep you and your family entertained when you’re stuck at home as it supports couch co-op of up to four players. To add some additional clarity, here’s the official game description for Overcooked:

We’re really happy to be able to get a free copy of Overcooked this week. The weekend is only a few short days away, and we’re looking forward to giving the game a try with our family. We’re not sure if all of them will like the game, but it’ll be fun to give it a go and see what happens!
