Valorant Radianite guide

Wondering what Radianite is, and how to spend or get it? This is the Valorant guide for you.

Why thank you, we are looking radiant tonight. Oh, you said Radianite. Right. Yes, well, we can help you there too, though a compliment wouldn’t go amiss. Radianite is one of Valorant’s two main currencies, and the game doesn’t do much of a good job explaining what exactly it’s for or how you earn more of it. Not to worry, we’ve looked into it and written this quick Valorant Radianite guide to explain it for you. If you want to know how to get Radianite and how to spend it, then read on.

What is Radianite in Valorant?

As stated above, Radianite is one of the game’s premium currencies. Instead of being spent on unlocking new skins, sprays and characters, it’s instead used to change and upgrade skins you already have. Certain skins in Valorant are capable of being adjusted using Radiante. The effects are purely cosmetic, changing the color and design of each weapon in dramatic ways. You can view your current Radianite Points in the top right of the main menu.

The radianite weapon skins in Valorant are some of the fanciest in the game right now, but they’re also the most expensive. Currently picking up a bundle of some of the fancy skins can cost upwards of $50, making them a very pricey investment. We expect more affordable options to be added as the game is updated, so we recommend holding off on purchases for now unless money really isn’t an obstacle for you.

Unfortunately, you can’t just get Radianite from playing the game. Or at least, you can’t without spending some money. You can buy Radianite using Valorant Points - the primary in-game currency - by clicking the R circle icon in the top right of the main menu. However, it’s extremely expensive, with 40 Radianite Points costing 2,800 Valorant points (close to $30).  Right now you can buy the following quantities of Radianite Points, though it’s worth noting that the game lists these as being discount prices.

  • 20 Radianite Points - 1,600 Valorant Points
  • 40 Radianite Points - 2,800 Valorant Points
  • 80 Radianite Points - 4,800 Valorant Points

One of the most cost-effective ways to earn Radianite right now is to purchase the premium battle pass. Complete all 50 levels of that and you’ll earn 130 Radianite along with all the skins, sprays and title cards included (read up on all the rewards by clicking here). Of course, not everyone has the time to level up the pass, but it’s still worth bearing in mind.

Radianite is spend on any weapon skins in your collection. Open up the Collection tab at the top of the main menu and select a weapon with a Radianite skin (e.g. the Prime Spectre or Vandal). On the left side of the screen you’ll see a series of Radianite levels which usually cost between 10-15 Radianite. These unlock different color variations, as well as special reload and final kill animations for the weapon. For any of the animations, it’s possible to view a preview by clicking on the respective level. You can then spend Radianite Points to unlock this effect if you want.

That’s pretty much everything you need to know about Radianite in Valorant. It’s a pricey resource for adding a bit of flair to the weapons you use. Head over to our Valorant game hub by clicking here to find more guides, news and features you can read.
