It’s Friday, which means it’s officially Xur day in Destiny 2. Every Friday, Xur appears at a random location in Destiny 2, causing players to take to the internet to figure out where exactly Xur can be found. The main motivation when it comes to finding Xur is the ability to purchase Exotics from him with Xur’s inventory refreshing every week.
If you’re uninterested in the items Xur’s selling one week, you can always check back in with him the following week to see if there’s something you want to buy. To make this entire process easier, we’ve put together a guide explaining where you can find Xur in Destiny 2 and all of the Exotic items he’s selling during the week of May 8, 2020.
Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - May 8, 2020

Xur appears at a random location in Destiny 2 starting on Friday each week and serves as an Exotic goods vendor. To buy items from Xur, you’ll first need to cycle through the locations where Xur typically spawns. Doing this can take up quite a bit of time, so it makes sense that Destiny 2 players search up his location online in order to find out where Xur is exactly and bypass all that extra travel time.
Note that if you search for Xur before his spawn time of 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST), you could miss Xur even if you’re at the correct location so we recommend waiting until the aforementioned time before you head out to meet with Xur. Once Xur arrives in Destiny 2, he’ll remain in the same spot for a few days and will sell both Exotic armor pieces as well as a random Exotic weapon.
If you want to buy something from Xur, you have until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) to do so. After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday to buy Exotic items from Xur again. During the week of May 8, Xur can be found on Nessus in the Watcher's Grave area.
To reach Xur, first spawn on Nessus, then make your way over to the Watcher's Grave area. There, you'll find Calus' Barge and on top of Calus' Barge, you'll find Xur.

During the week of May 8 through May 12, you’ll be able to find Xur at the location listed above. To browse Xur’s updated inventory of Exotic items, all you need to do is speak to him. Because Xur’s inventory refreshes every week you can always save your Legendary Shards and check back with Xur the following week if you don’t see anything worth purchasing.
In addition to Exotic armor for Warlocks, Titans, and Hunters, you can purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week as well as a Fated Engram. - Hard Light (Exotic Auto Rifle) - 29 Legendary Shards

During the week of May 8 through May 12 in Destiny 2, Xur has a Hard Light available for purchase. If you're big on PvE, the Hard Light can be a solid option to play around with. It's less effective in PvP, but it really depends on how you use it, your current build, and so on. Along with the Hard Light, Xur has some cool Exotic armor pieces to choose from.
In particular, it's been a while since we've seen the Gwisin Vest in Xur's inventory. Both the Hallowfire Heart and Apotheosis Veil are regular entries in Xur's inventory so if you're uncertain whether you genuinely want to spend your Legendary Shards on these Exotics you're free to save up and check in with Xur again next week.
We can almost guarantee that Xur will have both of these Exotic armor pieces – the Apotheosis Veil and Hallowfire Heart – in his rotation within the next few months.
