How to view all collected Fossils in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Keep track of what you have and what you don't have by viewing the list of Fossils you've collected in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are dozens of Fossils for you to bring to Blathers to assess, though it can be hard to keep track of all the ones you’ve collected. Unlike bugs and fish which have their own dedicated lists inside the Critterpedia app, a breakdown of all the Fossils you’ve collected can be a lot harder to find. To help, we’ve put together a quick guide on how to view a list of all collected Fossils in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

  • Open up Nook Shopping.
  • Select the 'wallpaper, flooring, and more' section.
  • Tab over to the Fossils section to view an alphabetical list of eveything you've collected so far.

As you explore your Animal Crossing: New Horizons each day, you’re able to dig up Fossils and bring them to Blathers to assess. If you stumble across a new Fossil, Blathers will add it to your growing museum collection. It’s easy to encounter duplicates, especially when you’re only missing one or two Fossils.

Naturally, as you pick up an increasing number of duplicate Fossils, you may find yourself wondering how to view a concise list of all the Fossils you’ve collected. Opening up your Nook Phone, you’ll see the Critterpedia only has lists for bugs and fish, not Fossils. You can browse the Fossil section of your museum and see what pieces are missing, but this can take up quite a bit of your time.

To make things easier, you’ll want to find the full list of Fossils you’ve collected in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. To do this, you’re actually going to want to open up Nook Shopping. If you’ve unlocked the app, you can view this by pressing the left trigger and opening your Nook Phone, then clicking on the Nook Shopping app.

If you haven’t unlocked the app just yet, you can access Nook Shopping through the Nook Stop Terminal inside the Resident Services Center. While browsing Nook Shopping, there are a few options available to you including Special Goods where you can buy new K.K. Slider songs, and catalogs of furniture, fashion items, wallpaper, flooring, and more.

In these catalogs, you can not only reorder items you need, but view lists of items you’ve previously collected including Fossils. To view your Fossil list, select the ‘wallpaper, flooring, and more’ section then use your right trigger to tab over to the Fossils page. You can’t reorder Fossils, but you can view an alphabetical list of all the ones you’ve collected so far.

Using this list, you can compare it to lists of Fossils you can collect in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to see how many you’re missing. It can be exciting to do this, especially if you discover you only need two more Fossils to finish that section of your museum.

To recap, the full list of Fossils you’ve collected in Animal Crossing: New Horizons can be found in Nook Shopping inside the ‘wallpaper, flooring, and more’ section and has its very own page with collected Fossils listed in alphabetical order.
