Lightsabers and loot return to Fortnite for Star Wars day

May the Fortnite be with you.

Star Wars-themed gear has returned to Fortnite today to celebrate May the 4th, the annual pun holiday for space nerds.

The previously limited-time gear was first released as a tie-in for The Last Jedi, however you can now get a second bite of the apple if you didn't managed to unlock some of these goodies first time round.

For this year's Star Wars Day, you can get Sith Trooper, Rey and Kylo Ren outfits in the Fortnite shop, and use Lightsabers in-game again for a limited time.

The May the 4th celebrations follow on the back of Fortnite's latest game mode, Party Royale Mode, releasing for everyone to enjoy non-combat gameplay with their friends. The new island has a number of activities dotted around for players to challenge their friends to races or other fun alternatives to battle royale.

It's been a busy few weeks for Fortnite, as the Party Royale came after a real royal party when the current king of hip hop Travis Scott performed to more than 27.7 million people in concerts that took place over the last weekend in April. More than 12.3 million players turned up to the first show, and a total of 45.8 million viewings took place, so plenty of people turned up for encores after enjoying the spectacular opening.

Are you hoping to pick up some more Star Wars-themed gear in Fortnite this May the 4th? What were you missing from last year's haul?
